Description

The wide angle lens mod will dramatically increase the field of view on your NVG30, to 50° and the NVG50 to 55° greatly improving your ability to navigate and observe your surroundings by allowing you to see a wider area. This mode can easily to attach on top of existing lens in a few seconds, no modification is required. Wide angle Lens adds approximately 92g.

Please Note that due to the size of the lens, it does obscure the built in IR illuminator but this can be overcome by running supplemental IR, either rail mounted, helmet mounted or handheld. There is also a variant available for the NVG10.

Great product!

The wider angle is game changer. The added weight is nominal. And Kyle is a great guy to work with.

Not great for the NVG50

It works as advertised until you turn on the IR and the lens blocks a portion of the light, the bottom third of your vision looks like an eclipse and there is a haze around the image. Probably works well with an external IR illuminator. The focus issues in the photos are from me not the lens.

This is fantastically suited for maneuvering at night as well as being able to shoot at a distance. I would definetely recommend pairing with an Ir laser. I'll be using this out at the MilSim - Lone Tree Milsim

This device is so hard to beat right now for budget digital night vision. I have both analog and digital and on some high moon nights I will even choose my NVG30 over analog because I like seeing color. It's super cool- extruded shoots

At this point for $500 you can not get a better night vision monocular. I have been absolutely blow away by this monocular and that has cast into light a lot of the shortfallings of competitor devices - Phantom Llama's Den
