Good product overall, noticed 2 minor things. Diopter doesnt seem to turn much but it goes enough to work. It just feels off that it doesnt match my other unit. The battery cap also screws on rough, makes my wotry about cross threading. All in all not enough concern to warrent the hassel of a replacement, the unit still works amazingly.
All honesty I have been very impressed with the entire set up as a whole. I did buy a kit from them all in all definitely works well. I will say the only downside I have found is the helmet padding is weird and wearing it for more than 2hrs the front band tends to dig into your forehead a bit , but easy fix with some foam. The NVG30 works super well for what it is I’ve been using it to bobcat and coyote hunt at night and all in all it’s awesome has plenty of life works very well. Now going to the KIJI K1 yes it works just as well and yes it takes the batteries that it says , I ran it for about 3 hours straight and it was super easy and put out great light for the NV set up I was using along with good battery life. All in all it’s a great set up . I am very exited to eventually try out the NVG50 down the road.

This external battery pack seems well made. Have had it in hard use yet. Just playing around in my field and house. Not a fan of the screw closure. I feel it may wear/strip out, if frequently opened and closed. Other then my untested thoughts this is great. It’s light weight, pretty small, with strong hook and look attachment. Solid add in!!
I am very happy with my purchase, everything works right out of the box, and they are easy to use (read the manual!!). For the price point they are excellent, they feel built with quality and the optic is very clear, i'm excited to use them in the summer at night for target practice or even pest control. And shout out to Kyle for taking care of me!!
To me it is very close to PVS14 without the big price tag. Great item
This is perfect for moving through my woods at night. Great budget night vision. Perfect for my application.
Easy to operate and amazingly clear picture. Very solid construction.
Good quality build.
Love the laser. On of the best for the civilian market.
Night vision is great.
Would highly recommend.
I had a little trouble with the fitment of the dovetail but after a little grease and sanding of the edges, it fit perfectly. Honestly, you won’t beat this deal. Sure you get what you pay for, but it exceeded expectations. My friends tried mine out and are going to be ordering theirs soon.
This is my first night vision setup so I cant compare & contrast it to anything that could be better or worse, But it was affordable & I tried it out during night & I could for sure see even out to the distance,The different settings also are much appreciated & I am looking forward to seeing future products especially thermal.
I researched this subject for months and decided on the NVG50 due to its great reviews. I'm really a novice with night vision, but I'm a retired military member. I want to eliminate some farm rats that chewed through my car wiring and caused $2,700 in damage. Now it's my turn.
Best budget digital night vision in my opinion, highly recommended.
A must have for nvg30 or nvg50. Would definitely recommend picking this up!!
I like everything about it. The only thing I would change is the eye relief. Sometimes when moving around the monocular will move just a tiny bit n eye quality is not as visible....... Seems like u have to really line it up really good to get a good usable view. If there was some way to make that better it be super awesome....
This is the best for NV . Really clear, I have the duals and the sight picture is good. It's not Analog, but unless you are a Navy Seal, Digital is all any Civilian will ever need.
NVG50 is a solid option
Only issue was that I bought the wrong dual mount. The one for the NVG30 does not fit properly on the two NVG50s. It was my error. I bought the proper mount (not as cool looking) but it is very good for the NVG50. I am now waiting on two NVG30s to use the other mount. No other issues. I have a PVS14 and the NVG50 is a legit 90% solution and in some ways is better (not concerned with light damage).
For 400 bucks, its a great unit and has many great features. It has solid ambient light sensors, the screen options are easy on the eyes, and it works well in bino form. I don't like the screen lag or having to adjust for distance as well as eye focus ( it can be alot to manage), and the charger/SD area is a bit difficult to get a cable to plug in in bino form. I found a guy on Ebay who sells upgraded lenses that function better than the OEM at focusing, that may rectify my focus issue. I put a 45° small usb-c to reduce space but I will lose out on water resistance. All in all, not too bad. We are really close to peer to peer digital night vision.

I bought this as a supplementary unit so my buddy can go with me on night hikes/NVG kayaking. Having a PVS-14 is awesome but not having a buddy that also has night vision sucks, so this works great.
I expected functional. But the 30s are pretty great. For the price can’t beat them. I suggest reaching out to GNG and have them help you get all the right parts. Makes all the difference. Good prices and great service = the right place to spend your money.
The wider angle is game changer. The added weight is nominal. And Kyle is a great guy to work with.
Simple to work and a must for night ops. Good for day and non NVG too. Good Nite is a pleasure to work with FYI.
Purchased one around Christmas and immediately kicked myself for not getting two. Purchased a second and I am beyond excited. For a budget option that’s worth the fun with the kids or scouting and hunting at night, these fit the bill. I also got the kiji light from Goodnight Gear to run on my helmet as a secondary IR source and also paired with a SMS Laser HFXC for a wml makes a great coyote setup . One last thing, I am also running a 10000 mah rugged power bank from Amazon to extend battery life and usage of the units and it works great.
