Please Note that due to the size of the lens, it does obscure the built in IR illuminator but this can be overcome by running supplemental IR, either rail mounted, helmet mounted or handheld.Ā There is also a variant available for the NVG10.Ā

A must have for nvg30 or nvg50. Would definitely recommend picking this up!!
The wider angle is game changer. The added weight is nominal. And Kyle is a great guy to work with.
It works as advertised until you turn on the IR and the lens blocks a portion of the light, the bottom third of your vision looks like an eclipse and there is a haze around the image. Probably works well with an external IR illuminator. The focus issues in the photos are from me not the lens.
This lens dramatically enhances - not only the field of view, but the light gathering capability of the NVG-30. I do however wish, the focusing was not so easy to manipulate. Be very careful not to over-install the mounting ring and that itās lined up properly. This is a must-have for the NVG-30 and variants. Service of course from Goodnight Gear, was excellent.
